Tasty Turkey Chili That’s Perfect for Cold Weather and Leftovers

Despite living in Florida, we do have random cold fronts that come through and chill the house enough that we turn the heat on (crazy right?).

The drops in temperature are actually realllyyy nice and make for the perfect time to enjoy cozy soups and warming foods like chili.

We recently experienced one of these cold fronts and I was scheduled for a root canal which meant I needed soft foods post-op.

It was this perfect collision that made me hunt out a chili recipe (pictured in the featured image) that I could easily whip up and have leftovers for a few days in case my tooth was still on the sore side.

Sprouts was also having a sale on ground turkey so I also knew I wanted a recipe that used this meat specifically.

And let me tell you, you would not even know this was a turkey chili.

Between the spices and all of the veggies inside the recipe, it was like having a filling bowl of traditional chili.

And, since it was loaded with veggies, it was a great way to get more fiber in without having to down a huge salad or side dish. I could eat the chili and get a healthy dose of protein, fiber, and healthy carbs (thanks to the beans).

I also added sliced avocados, Greek yogurt (for an additional boost of protein and to replace sour cream), and sliced cheddar cheese 🤤🤤🤤🤤.

Eric and I could not stop raving about how good this chili was and it was by far the best one I’ve ever made.

Now, fair warning. There is a pretty big ingredient list but everything is simple enough to find and you probably have a good portion on hand — I was surprised by how much I had. So it looks like a lot of work but it’s worth the effort since it makes a good amount and gives you plenty of tasty leftovers.

Another thing to note — you can only view this recipe once before the website requires you to enter your email. I found a workaround to this (hello Incognito mode), but you can also screenshot the ingredient list and recipe too. It only takes two screenshots.

Give this recipe a try and I promise you you won’t regret it!

If you do decide to make this, be sure to let me know how it goes and what you thought of it in the comments below.

To enjoying a cozy cup (or two!) of chili,

Devan
